"It is more blessed to give than to receive"

Evangelism Projects

We have all been called to take the gospel message of hope to all nations, tribes, tongues, and people! Our projects are global in nature. To lead a group of volunteers takes a sacrifice of time, efforts, and finances. Our mission projects involve both leading and equipping groups of lay workers on journeys into the mission field.  Each of our mission trips allow our volunteers to preach God’s Word to people groups in other countries.  In addition, once the teams have returned home, we also help them continue in their call by providing and coordinating local outreach opportunities within their region.  These local events range from full evangelistic series in their local churches to speaking opportunities in various churches in the region.

At Grow Missions, we believe that Jesus’ last words to the disciples (Matthew 28:19) are our rally call to service.  “Go ye therefore” is our commission and call to action!  While the word of God can reach people in all parts of the world by television and radio, we believe God uses His servants as messengers to take the Word directly to His people as living examples of His saving grace and plan of salvation.  He can do this work without us, but He chooses to use His people to deliver the message of hope to those that He has prepared!

And in turn, we can not answer this call without your support.  Jesus tells us in Acts 20:35, “It is more blessed to give than to receive”.  Some will give their time in service while others give there support in prayer and financial ways.  Each of our mission trips are organized at least six months in advance and we do require the local host organization (pastor, church, conference, and/or division) to provide on site logistical support for local transportation and bible workers that go out before the crusades.  Our volunteer speakers are responsible for financing their own airfare as well as the cost of local lodging and meals at the crusade sites (which we arrange, negotiate, and supervise).  Each of our mission projects have full details for lodging and expenses required.

When you join us for a mission trip, you will sign up for either building work (which may not be available on all trips), or to become one of our speakers.  If you volunteer as a couple, we ask that one person leads out the adult evangelistic series while the other acts as support or leads out a children’s program during the same times.  Grow Missions will provide all required speaking materials and notes and projectors for both these programs. Once all fees have been received, we will meet with all volunteers and provide all materials as well as suggested preparation activities.  All you need is a willing heart and a notebook computer (which we may be able to provide if available).  We also provide guidance on medical coverage, insurance needs, travel details, and any other logistical questions or concerns that may arrive.  And don’t worry, one of our coordinators will be traveling with you at all times!  We have many years of experience in international travel and evangelism and strive to make your mission experience as positive as it can be!  Sound exciting?  Check out our testimonies page for stories from past volunteers.

Any and all other costs for the support of these mission projects are covered by donations received by the Grow Missions organization.  We have made sure transportation to and from the airports as well as any event logistics are provided.  Additional expenses associated with each evangelistic crusade are not expected to be paid by our volunteers.  Grow Missions provides all logistics support for each crusade center, which includes providing LCD projectors, generators (if needed), presentation software and sermon notes, and training to each volunteer team.  Also, at the end of each of our meetings, anyone that is baptized will receive a bible in their local language.  This allows each person to continue their personal growth and further build their relationship with Jesus.  We also strive to provide financial support for follow up teams that continue to nurture the new members after our mission team leaves.

How do we do this?  With your support!  It is our goal to bring the news of Christ’s saving grace and love to as many people as possible.  With volunteers and support from our friends we can answer this call.  We are working at all times to spread the news of our ministry and create qualified opportunities for our volunteers to speak both domestically and internationally.  Please join us in these efforts by volunteering, providing contacts for new speaking opportunities, or by providing financial support.

We look forward to working with you in the mission field!

What is a typical day in the mission field?  We start each morning with Bible study and prayer and then all of the mission team will share a meal together.  We eat our morning and evening meals together to help form lasting relationships and allow time for bonding, support, and shared experiences from past days.  After our morning meal we all get ready for our meetings.  We will typically start our meetings at between 2pm and 6pm (depending on local requirements).  Travel time from our hotel locations could take up to one hour for certain teams.  Once we arrive at our specific meeting sites, we are usually blessed with a local group that is singing as visitors come to join and listen to the message(s).  The local support group will have all platforms and audio equipment ready and we then just set up our projectors and computers.  We then have prayer with the entire group, split off into adults and children (if a children’s program is being held), and start our sermon for the night.  In some cases we may be asked to give two sermons per day.  If this is the case we will have a short break (15 minutes for singing) and then start the second sermon.  We always finish with prayer and invite the guests to come back the next day and let them know what our topic title will be.  Then off we go back to join with the other teams and share our days experiences.

If the teams are requested, and agree, we will also arrange visitations within the local areas of each meeting site.  Traveling with local pastors, we try to visit the hosting churches and members with special needs.  This has been such a blessing as we build lasting memories with our new friends and often share in local foods and customs.

At the end of each series we are blessed with the commitment of many precious souls to join Christ’s church publicly through baptism.  Being there as the people we have grown close to and witnessed to for our meeting nights give their lives to Jesus is such an amazing blessing!  Learning about the way the locals live and how they are still happy and then seeing there joy taken to new heights is such a great reward.  You will never forget this as it will open your eyes and your heart like never before.
