Riasibo Primary School receives clean water system, uniting community.
How far do you walk for a glass of clean drinking water? In much of Africa, children must walk over 6 miles to collect water in jugs or buckets and carry it home. Still contaminated with bacteria from ground waste, this water is still not usable. But, it is all they have. And yet, it rains fresh water almost daily! Using Rain Water Collection Systems we provide water for a village school and teach the local families how to collect, save, and purify water sent directly from the heavens! Children do not need to suffer any longer!
Grow Missions has provided over 14 Schools in Kenya with Rain Water Collection systems! Each school has an average of 500 children that now can drink clean water every day and take some home! That's over 7000 children!! Sickness has reduced by more than 85%, school attendance has increased an average of 20%, and families are changing with HOPE.
Riasibo Primary school has over 600 students and had a previous illness rate of greater than 10% at any time. This caused both decreased school attendance and reduced grades as children struggled not only to collect water, but to stay current with studies when they were sick and in pain. Prior to receiving the water collection and filtration system these children walked over 3 miles to gather dirty water. Riasibo school now has a complete water system with an 8000 liter tank capable of supplying the needs of the school plus the complete village of over 2000. With clean water children can live a life without sickness and pain and focus on education and not water collection. This is the way school was meant to be!
Please help us provide for the hundreds of school that have no water within miles! For only $1500 $1400 (REDUCED THROUGH COST SAVING DESIGNS) we can provide water for hundreds of children and their families! Children should NOT get sick from bad water! Every 15 seconds a child dies because of water-related illness! We MUST stop this crisis! Please help NOW!
