Grow Missions creates the conditions for the remote, rural poor of Kenya and Burundi to lift themselves out of poverty by creating access to life-changing services such as clean water, education, food supplies, Christian counsel, and micro-industry (through dairy cows). 

Our first step is prayer and then to listen. Rural people know what they need - and what they don’t - to improve their quality of life. They also know who needs help the most and how to prioritize projects.  Grow Missions doesn't’t assume to know better than those villagers what is needed to transform the community and their lives.  We listen to them and then work to provide the missing ingredients – a caring hand and access to capital.

Our next step is ensuring the projects are implemented with local involvement, financial integrity and responsible construction practices. Grow Missions actively manages every project to ensure that 100% of the allocated donor dollars are used for their intended purpose.

Finally, Grow Missions does not consider a project complete when the construction stops – that’s when the real work starts. A project is not complete until it is officially handed over to the community to own, and sustainability ensured through comprehensive management and maintenance training. We track each rain water system and each cow provided and record the results for further project improvements.  Both semi-annual and annual records are provided by the schools and families so that we can better understand the impact of our projects and change as needed.

Sustainability is built into every project that Grow Missions funds, and is a true measure of success.
